NOTICE OF JOB OPPORTUNITY

COMPANY: Humata Health, Inc.

TITLE: Data Scientist I

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES:

  • Develop predictive models to make Humata better at determining prior authorization through MLOps practices, including creating new models in a design environment.

  • Provide full automation to prior authorization processes; interact with the large data sets and use data science skills to be able to train statistical models that are able to respond to the key triggers in the data to produce the correct result.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the underlying medical questions that need to be answered.

  • Push models to a staging environment for testing.

  • Develop the underlying model and ensure that they will perform properly in production.

  • Follow guidelines for rigorous testing for accuracy as well as stability in order to validate models and approve them for production.

  • Push models into production and ensure all prior steps are completed and proper approvals are obtained in order to push models into production.

  • Monitor models in production and gather up-to-date data on how the models are performing and where they potentially need to be improved.

  • Review production data on a weekly basis to make sure the models in production are working as well as expected and to find improvements.

  • Update models as needed to improve performance in production to improve the product in the long run.

  • Develop improvements that will cover the weaknesses of the current model without sacrificing its strengths.

  • Understand and maintain data pipelines from raw sources to feature stores for models.

  • Work on setting up new or improving our existing data pipelines by reviewing systems and working with engineering teams to setup new points to log or gather data.

  • Adhere to security and data protection policies.

  • Communicate to stakeholders outside the team project status and risks.

  • Review processes and recommend changes to improve operations using Run data collection, code review, testing, communication, and deployment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, or Engineering (any).

  • Two (2) years in any occupation with software engineering and quality practices.

  • Two (2) years in any occupation with software engineering and quality practices must include: Experience writing code in Python, specifically for machine learning and data science; Experience developing and maintaining Machine Learning (ML) models, specifically implementing Natural Language Processing (NLP); Experience deploying, developing, and fine tuning Large Language Models; Experience building NLP models to classify and select electronic medical record documents for meeting requirements for submitting prior authorizations; Experience supporting production deployment of ML models in a healthcare environment; and Experience customizing ML models to suit needs of individual customers.

HYBRID POSITION: Reports to company office in Winter Park, FL. May work remotely up to 4 days per week.
