Position: IT Manager

Location: South Florida Market

Reports To: Chief Product and Technology Officer

Role Type: Exempt | Full-Time

About The Role

The IT Manager is a critical, leadership-oriented role that supports the entire business—both remotely and in person. This position will own our IT program end-to-end, providing strategic oversight as well as hands-on support. The IT Manager will lead IT operations, ensuring that providers and staff have the technology they need to care for patients. You’ll be hands-on where needed, but also focused on building scalable systems, managing vendors, and aligning IT with organizational goals.

As we grow, you’ll be responsible for scaling IT operations, building streamlined processes, and ensuring quality and accountability from our Managed Services Provider (MSP). We’re looking for someone who is an independent self-starter, enjoys problem-solving, and is excited about owning the IT roadmap as we grow and expand. If you’re passionate about helping people, improving IT operations, and making technology seamless for healthcare providers, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and manage the Bluebird Kids' IT program, including infrastructure, security, and support.
  • Oversee our Managed Services Provider (MSP), holding them accountable to performance and service standards.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for IT-related support requests, ensuring the MSP handles routine support effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues when needed.
  • Document common issues and solutions to improve self-service IT resources.
  • Ensure system performance, security, and reliability through policies, monitoring, and vendor oversight.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and efficiency.
  • Manage the procurement, configuration, and distribution of laptops, desktops, and other IT equipment.
  • Track IT assets, ensuring proper inventory management and lifecycle tracking.
  • Set up new hires with the right technology, access, and tools before their first day; manage employee offboarding securely.
  • Support the IT setup for new clinics, ensuring a smooth rollout of hardware, network, and IT infrastructure.
  • Work closely with operations and leadership to create scalable IT processes as we grow.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies that improve clinic operations and staff productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in IT roles, with progressive responsibility and leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft ecosystem: Azure AD, InTune, Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience managing environments with Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage vendors, and proactively improve IT processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing hardware procurement, IT asset tracking, and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff and leadership.
  • Familiarity with IT security policies, MFA, VPNs, and endpoint management.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting IT in medical clinics or healthcare settings.
