About the Role
Abacus Insights is seeking a Business & Data Analyst to support client‑facing healthcare data initiatives and platform optimization efforts. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare data, client engagement, and solution delivery. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to translate business needs into clear requirements, support solution design, and ensure high‑quality outcomes through testing and validation. This is a hands‑on, client‑engaged role ideal for an analyst with experience in U.S. healthcare data environments who enjoys problem solving, collaboration, and turning complex data into actionable insights.

About the Role

  • Partner with clients to understand business needs, operational challenges, and healthcare data requirements, translating them into clear functional specifications and solution designs.
  • Lead and support client discussions, discovery sessions, and planning workshops (on‑site and virtual) to gather, clarify, and validate requirements.
  • Support consulting engagements focused on improving operational performance across healthcare platforms through process analysis and solution recommendations.
  • Design and contribute to enhancements of platform components and data solutions, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams.
  • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases to validate system functionality, data accuracy, and business logic.
  • Analyze healthcare data to assess quality, identify trends, and enable data‑driven decision making.
  • Provide QA and application support during testing and deployment phases, and communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or consulting within the U.S. healthcare domain.
  • Experience working with healthcare data and supporting client‑facing initiatives, including requirements gathering, documentation, and solution translation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to validate data quality, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficient in using data analytics tools, with experience in SQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
  • Collaborative, relationship‑oriented professional with a proactive, organized, and self‑directed approach to project execution.

Working Arrangements

  • Standard hours: 9 hours/day, 5 working days
  • Location: Onsite
  • Shift: 1 PM - 10 PM local time
